Michelle graduated from UW-Madison with degrees in English and Communication Arts and minors in Classics and Integrated Liberal Studies. She then attended graduate school at UW-Milwaukee to become a certified high school English teacher. Presently, Michelle teaches English and is an assistant coach for the boys swim team at Hamilton High School.
In high school, Michelle swam on school swim team as well as additional swimming as a club swimmer. During college, she participated in the UW-Madison Triathlon Club. After college, she coached four years for the Wauwatosa Swordfish, working with swimmers age 8 to 18. Michelle swims, bikes, and runs as often as she can. She has competed 6 triathlons, one 24-hour bike relay race, and many shorter runs, including a Tough Mudder 11-mile obstacle course.
With Tri Faster, Michelle has raced in a couple of swim meets as well as an indoor triathlon. She loves swimming with Tri Faster and, whenever needed, helping out the coaching staff as a substitute coach.
