Shannon graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a BS in Kinesiology with emphasis in athletic training and physical therapy. Shannon also has a nutrition certification and nursing training from UWM. Shannon is an Athletic trainer for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, a personal trainer, and an experienced Tri Faster coach.

Shannon brings a lot of knowledge and expertise to her role as a coach. She has taught swimming lessons since she was seventeen and has spent many years coaching high school swimming and diving. She also specializes in postural and biomechanical assessment, therapeutic massage and helping injured athletes.

Shannon is a TRUE multi-sport athlete.  At UWM she was a collegiate swimmer. She also played women’s pro football for 7 seasons earning a championship ring and a defensive MVP award. Now she enjoys competing in both mountain biking races, a variety of triathlon distances and helping her husband Derek raise their two children Katella age 3 and Castiel age 1 to be fun and caring human beings.
