Open Water Group Swim Training
The Tri Faster Masters Coaches are taking things to the lake! This program is a MUST for practicing for your upcoming open water swims or triathlons with these structured and coached open water swim workouts. We will provide a safe, lifeguarded environment to practice your open water swim skills. Instruction will be given in race starts, drafting, sight breathing to stay on course, and additional open water skills. These workouts will include both time trial starts and some group swims to get used to swimming in a pack. We will provide a measured course with swim buoys to allow you to prepare for your open water race distance.
One-on-One Open Water Swim Session
This one-on-one or small group session is perfect for someone wanting to get over their fear of open water swimming or looking to improve their skills to participate in lake swimming for fitness, swimming competition or triathlon participation. The session will be tailored to your needs. If you are tentative in the open water we will cover topics including: open water adjustment, staying relaxed, treading water, “Plan B” strategies if panic sets in, and swimming technique and site breathing for open water. For more advanced open water swimmers, the session will include site breathing to stay on course, beach and open water entries and exits, how to navigate turns, pacing and drafting.
